Every year I look forward to New Years Eve with the expectation of having the most glamorous and fabulous night of the entire year. Champagne and caviar and fireworks and everything else as spectacular as that. However, for some reason it never quite lives up to my expectations. I imagine many others out there have had the same experience as me in the past.
This year New Years Eve will be different. I know I say that every year, but this year it will. They say the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect the outcome to be different. However, this year something is different.
Crossroads is throwing a New Years Eve party. Step back in time and ring in the new year in elegant, vintage style evening featuring a plated three course authentic 1950’s inspired dinner with complementary champagne. The evening will be rounded out with live jazz music and dancing featuring the Mitch Beube Band.
The menu includes champagne, a choice of appetizer, choice of main course, and dessert with coffee and tea. Appetizers include poached lobster and seafood cocktail, wild game terrine, or crisp winter green salad. The Main Course is a choice of grilled beef tenderloin, salmon wellington, or oven roasted chicken breast. Dessert will be French pastries with Chantilly cream and berries.
For the two different crowds there are two seatings, one at 6pm and one at 9pm. For those with little kids perhaps book the early seating, grab a babysitter and have a lovely early evening before returning home to ring in 2014 in your pyjamas. Or if you want to dance the night away book in for the 9 pm seating and kiss your loved one under the sparkles and diamonds at Crossroads when the clock strikes twelve.
Tickets are $60 per person plus tax and gratuity. Tickets are selling so make sure to get yours soon.
